Thirty nine potato varieties were stored at Joydebpur to observe their storability under ambient condition. After four months of storage Ampere, Melody performed better in respect of weight loss, rottage loss, shriveling score and sprouts weight. Among the CIP genotype, V25, V06, V36 and V54 showed better at 90 days after storing.

To investigate the storage quality of exotic potato verities and CIP genotypes under natural condition.

The study has been conducted at Joydebpur during 2006 with different exotic potato varieties and CIP genotypes. The initial weight of thirty tubers from each variety/genotypes was taken immediately after harvest. The tuber was stored in well ventilated and insect proof netted boxes under diffused light. Weighing of tuber was continued at thirty days intervals up to 120 days started from 60 DAS (days after storing). Rotted tubers were discarded after weighing.Sprouts weight were recorded once after 120 days of storing.
