Seven hybrid TPS, Eight clonal hybrids, eight exotic varieties of AYT and Seventeen exotic potato varieties of SYT were stored at Joydebpur to observe their storability under ambient condition. After five months of storage TPS hybrids MFI x TS-15, MFII x TS-15 and exotic potato clones 5.13, Red fantasy and Cardinal in AYT, and Pamela and Elger of SYT performed better in respect of weight loss, rottage loss ; shrinkage score and marketability

To investigate the storage quality of exotic potato varieties and hybrid clones.

The study was conducted at Joydebpur during 2010 with different exotic potato varieties along with hybrid clones. The initial weight of thirty tubers from each varieties/clones was taken immediately after harvest. The tubers were stored in well ventilated and insect proof netted boxes under diffuse light. Weighing of tubers continued at fifteen days intervals up to 150 days started from 30 DAS (days after storing). Rotted tubers were discarded after weighting. Degree of sprouting, tuber colour, size of sprout, marketability was recorded once after 150 DAS.
