Eight CIP clones were evaluated at Joydebpur for phenotypic and yield contributing characters. The highest dry yield (9.11 t/ha) was obtained from CIP 194513.15, followed by CIP 441132 (8.69 t/ha) and the lowest dry yield from CIP 190083.9 (4.39 t/ha). Considering the yield and yield contributing other factors, four CIP clones namely, CIP 441132, CIP 194513.15, CIP 440267.2 and CIP 194573.9 were selected for next year regional yield trial.

To select high yielding, dry fleshed and carotene containing sweet potato clones.

The experiment was conducted at Joydebpur during 2010-11. Eight CIP clones were included in the study. Vines of clones were planted on 10th November, 2010 in the field having a plot size 3.0 x 3.0 m and replicated thrice following randomized block design. The crop was fertilized with recommended doses. The crop was harvested on 16th April, 2011. Data on phenotypic characters, yield and yield contributing characters were recorded from 10 randomly selected plants
